The story of the travels and experiences of a World War II evacuee to South Africa who trained as a naval cadet, went to sea as a midshipman in the British Eastern and Pacific Fleets, was at the reoccupation of Shanghai and Hong Kong and mineswept before demobilisation. Later he established new insurance operations in the Rhodesias up to and including the Unitlateral Declaration of Independence and managed or overviewed insurance entities in the Middle East, parts of Europe, South America and Canada.
Diagnosed with cancer in 1980 he took everything in his stride and is 'Still Going Strong' continuing to live a full and busy life today, showing that cancer doesn't have to mean the end of hope.
